Our story and vision
Clear Horizon Retreats was born from lived experience, genuine fellowship, and the belief that sobriety is not a limitation—it is the start of a rich, vibrant life. We are creating a dedicated outdoor haven where people can breathe, belong, and rediscover joy in nature.

Founders Story
Why I Built Clear Horizon
For ten years, I lived on some of the hardest streets in the northeastern United States.
I went through twenty-three detoxes and three inpatient stays, and I still couldn't get it. Then a spinal infection put me in the hospital, unable to walk. I spent six months in a nursing home on IV antibiotics, confined to a wheelchair, learning to walk again. Somewhere in that bed, I knew I couldn't live that way anymore. I believe God did for me what I couldn't do for myself.
When I got out, I did what so many of us do. I showed up at meetings. The program helped, but the people are what saved me. They loved me until I could love myself, and they taught me how to live this new life sober. After years of relationships built on what I could get and give, those were the first true friendships I'd ever had.
Four years later, everything I have grew from those early connections.
Clear Horizon is the place I wish had existed for me: real land, fresh air, and room to move your body, breathe, and rest, with a table big enough for everyone. It's a hospitality space, not a treatment program. We don't promise a cure. We offer a beautiful setting where people in recovery can find their people.
Recovery looks different for everyone, and whatever path brought you here, you're welcome.
I know how long the road can be, and I know what it means when someone meets you where you are. If you're ready to take the next step, come stay with us.

A place to finally exhale
When guests arrive at Clear Horizon, the noise and pressure of the outside world drop away. Recovery is our foundational pillar, not an afterthought. Here, outdoor recreation, cozy cabins, glamping, and RV camping meet an alcohol- and drug-free community. It is neither clinical treatment nor an ordinary campground—it is an intentional sanctuary built for authentic belonging.

Building community together
Our mission is to prove that recovery is an adventure filled with confidence, laughter, and lifelong friendships. Whether you are walking the journey yourself, joining as a family member, or looking to support our vision as an investor or mentor, Clear Horizon offers a lasting community where everyone can thrive.
"I can finally exhale. I am safe here. I belong here. And maybe life can be really good."
